OH MEIN GOTT! Ich muss diesen Film haben, koste es was es wolle! Da passiert nämlich genau das was der Filmtitel vermuten lässt: Während eines Interviews kocht und isst Werner Herzog seinen Schuh nachdem er eine Wette verloren hat.

It gets more interesting. In the early seventies Herzog was friends with an aspiring filmmaker by the name of Errol Morris (yes, that Errol Morris). Morris was floundering a bit, so Herzog promised to eat his own shoe if Morris made a film. Morris made a film, Heaven's Gate and this film documents Herzog cooking and eating one of the shoes that he wore when he made that promise.

I think the premise of this film more or less speaks for itself. How could you not want to see this? But its even better than it sounds. Well worth tracking down.
