Wahnsinn, man meint ja solchen Krach dürften zig andere Bands auch produzieren, aber so gut dass ich's mir gerne 20mal am Stück anhöre kriegen's irgendwie nur The Locust hin. Nach zuletzt minutenlangen Epen (besonders für ihre Verhältnisse) halten sie sich jetzt wohl wieder an die Devise kurz und schmervoll. Man höre We Have Reached an Official Verdict: Nobody Gives a Shit auf

thankyou very much for thinking I am the kind of person that likes to
use glitches and cut ups, as I have in the past in some of my productions.
But no there are no annoying skipping sounds in the finale of the magic
position.. You are indeed listening to the bad quality leaked version of my album
that is travelling around the internet right now on everyones computers.
It is so funny because I intentionally worked around very pure hi fi sounds
for this album, I banned myself from distorted beats or glitches or bitcrushing all
my audio to death, i was into making paradise music.
Autsch.. Außerdem ist er großer Fan des Albumformats und gewillt ihm bis zu seinem Ende treu zu bleiben. Jawoll Patrick, du und ich!
Apropos Album, sein nächstes heißt The Magic Position und erscheint irgendwo ganz bestimmt am 26. Februar. Das hier wird auch darauf enthalten sein:

Dass in Deutschland die neuen Platten nunmehr Freitags erscheinen führt im Vergleich zum Ausland nicht nur zu späteren Erscheinungsterminen, sondern manchmal auch zu früheren: Während A Weekend In The City in ihrem Heimatland erst nächste Woche erscheint, werden Bloc Party aus hiesigen Musikgeräten bereits ab Freitag zu hören sein.
